Canada MSB vehicles: FINTRAC is not a rubber stamp
An Ontario corporation with MSB authorisations can be a serious asset. Change of ownership still runs through eligibility and reporting.

MSB listings often include foreign exchange, money transferring, PSP and dealing in virtual currencies. Those are activity boxes, not a global payments passport.
Confirm expiry, whether a renewal is already filed, registration with the Bank of Canada where required, and whether a website or policies transfer. Several clean files have no bank and no AML pack — that is a feature of the sale, not a surprise at closing.
Do not treat FINTRAC registration as equivalent to an EU EMI or a MiCA CASP. Map corridors and counterparties before you pay for speed.
